Tansi. Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day, an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis across Canada. This morning, we all watched a movie in the gymnasium followed by a free lunch of bannock burgers and veggies.
This afternoon, we will be holding our non-academic awards ceremony beginning at 1:15 p.m. We will be handing out Grandfather Teachings Certificates to students in each grade who exhibit the core values of Honesty, Truth, Humility, Love, Wisdom, Courage and Respect.
