T.A. Norris Middle School operates a very active School Council. Taking part is a great way to meet other parents and get involved in your child’s education. We meet every two months and there is no committment to attend every meeting.
The council, in cooperation with school staff, parents, and community members, provides advice and assistance in matters relating to the standard of education, student achievement, physical and social development of the students, and operation of the school.
We welcome your input as we are always learning new ways of understanding different perspectives and how to best achieve mutual goals. Please email us at tanparentcouncil@gmail.com with your feedback, questions and/or suggestions. We ask that your emails be respectful and align with the spirit of enhancing learning and school safety. In return, we will do our best to respond in a timely fashion and will seek creative solutions to your concerns. We don’t know what we don’t know - so feedback, positive or negative, is a gift that helps us learn.
We respectfully acknowledge that TAN Middle School is located on the original homelands of First Nations, Inuit & Metis peoples, whose ancestors have walked this land since time immemorial. We recognize this as unceded land, designated under colonization as Treaty 8 Territory. We give thanks to the land, it's original stewards and all our relations that enable learning at TAN school.
