Our TAN (Take Action Now!) Green Team wants to create a better world by planting more trees. On May 27, any student who wishes a spruce seedling will be able to take one home. Green Team members Keri Klunder, Emma Blohm, and Beth Johnson share these tips:
Think ahead! Plant where there will be enough room to grow. A tree can get very big in fifty years.
Do not plant on town property such as playgrounds or along the grassy areas next to the dike.
Keep roots moist and plant as soon as possible. Water frequently.
If you don't have a spot right away, plant in a pot and enjoy watching it grow.
